MIRALON Carbon Nanotube Dispersion Liquid for Battery Cathodes. MIRALON D125-NMP is a Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube (MWCNT) material that performs like a Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube (SWCNT) materials, but with a lower cost and better electrode mechanical properties.
Miralon D125-NMP dispersions contain 1.25% MIRALON pulp and 3.75% PVDF binder in a N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) solvent. It is a specialty component to create conductive electrode formulations for battery applications. It is suitable for the formulation of NMP-based coatings, particular for cathode slurries upon addition of Li-containing oxides, as battery active materials.
Enhanced Performance in Battery Systems
- Performs like a SWCNT but with a much lower cost AND better electrode mechanical properties
- Carbon Black (CB) performance with less carbon in the cathode
- Increasing the energy density of the battery system.
- 90% reduction in carbon footprint compared to using traditional Carbon Black
- Pre-dispersed conductive additive already in solution, providing standardized electrical and mechanical properties to various materials
- Ready-to-use in combination with battery active material or upon dilution to the desired carbon/binder content in the range of ≤1.25 wt% Miralon
- Easy to mix solution with no requirement for heating prior to mixing
